Filming in the District
Ōpōtiki is your stunning 'Coast by Nature' choice for filming.
We have miles of ocean, a 160 km coastline, clean rivers and over 11,200 hectares of native bush and scrubland. Opotiki is a scenic wonderland steeped in history and culture.
It's no wonder we're already the location of award winning movies, and the home of a world famous actor and director to boot!
If you would like to film in our District on any Council-owned property, reserve, park or road, complete our online application form below and we'll contact you to guide you through our permit process.
Before you submit your application you'll need to have read the general terms and conditions for filming.
