Delta Contractors are underway with the re-application of anti-slip spray to the paving problem areas across Church street. They are almost fully done with a couple more areas to repair and then treat.
This however, isn't the ideal long-term solution but for the moment it will improve the wet weather, slip hazard on these pavers.
For a longer-term approach our plan is to address CBD paving as part of the town centre revitalisation project, through the Long-Term Plan review later this year. Our Long-Term Plan (LTP) is where we set our big projects and spending for the next 10 years.
Once we reach the consultation period for the LTP we will share that info far and wide, asking our community for their feedback on what matters most to them.
