Pay your regional council rates
Ratepayers in the Ōpōtiki District now receive rates invoices from Ōpōtiki District Council and Toi Moana Bay of Plenty Regional Council separately.
The final joint rates invoice was April 2022. No further rates notices from Ōpōtiki District Council will include Regional Council rates.
Our customers were asked to check and change their Automatic Payments before 1 July 2022. Those who were paying us by direct debit had their amounts automatically adjusted.
the first separate rates invoices from Bay of Plenty Regional Council went out in September 2022. The Bay of Plenty Regional Council rates invoice is an annual invoice so you only receive one per year. You need to pay this to Bay of Plenty Regional Council directly. Find out more about how to pay these rates, how to set up invoices by email, and payment options available on the Bay of Plenty Regional Council website.
If you are applying for Rates Rebate Scheme, we suggest you wait until you receive your regional council rates invoice so that you can include this in your application.
