Planning and Regulatory department
Two opportunities are available in our Planning and Regulatory Department to work in the area of Compliance. One is a new senior role and the other a replacement to an existing role.
Compliance Officer - full time permanent
With your experience in relatable compliance or enforcement roles, you will be enforcing compliance with noise control, animal control, parking and other by-laws as required. Being able to maintain a good work attitude under pressure will be one of your strengths in this small team of compliance champions. This role requires intermediate level computer and systems competencies.

Senior Compliance Officer - full time permanent
You will be responsible for monitoring and compliance with the Resource Management Act, District Plan and The Building Act. This role requires intermediate level computer and systems competencies and advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Development Engineer – Full time
With Civil Engineering qualifications, you will have proven experience in subdivision and land use consent applications, a working knowledge of relevant local government legislation and environmental legislation – in particular Resource Management Act familiarity and experience. Experience with GIS systems and managing large projects is also essential.

Land Transport Engineer – Full time
For this role you must have Civil Engineering qualifications, proven experience in road and transport aspects and be innovative and systems focused. Ideally, your skills will complement already established systems efficiencies aligned to finance and you will have the ability to add value to the systems already in place.
