Calling all Engineers!

​Ōpōtiki is a district that is in a period of growth. To support the growth our town is working towards, we need to ensure the right expertise is on hand to manage our existing and future assets. We have three full time roles available in our Engineering and Services Department that will be at the forefront of managing these assets and the nuts and bolts behind them.

Who are we looking for?

Asset Manager

A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification is required for this position. If you are a strategic thinker who has proven experience and understanding of Asset Management processes applicable in NZ Local Government, we want to hear from you. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience and knowledge while being responsible for producing Asset Management Plans, developing tactical solutions and meeting current legislative requirements. You will manage projects as directed and be able to apply a best practice approach at all times.

Asset Engineers x2 – Stormwater & Solid Waste / Water Supply & Waste Water

The right people for these roles will have a good understanding of Asset Management processes, advanced problem solving / computer skills and ideally, you will also be familiar with survey methods and have the practical ability out in the field with a Health and Safety conscious approach.
