Council is reviewing the district's Reserve Management Plan.
The reserves include sportsfields, parks, Council managed natural areas and some Ōpōtiki District Council land such as the area encompassing Council's administration building.
The plans are administered under the Reserves Act 1977 and aim to ensure that reserves provide the opportunity for use and enjoyment as well being appropriately maintained, protected and preserved.
The feedback period has now closed. Council will consider all submissions received at a future hearings meeting before making final decisions.
Consultation for the reviewed Reserve Management Plan opened on Monday 9 December 2019 and closed on Tuesday 14 April 2020 at 4pm.
