About the role
Do you enjoy working across multiple areas, with a broad range of people? Do you have an eye for detail and excellent time management skills? We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our Community Services and Development group, reporting to the Strategic Development Manager.
You will work with the various managers within the organisation, including alongside Executive Leadership, which presents opportunities to the right candidate to grow their existing skillsets in areas which interest them.
The role will include maintaining databases and communications for the Workforce Development function, working closely with Governance to ensure Council meetings and workshops run smoothly for Elected Officials and Executive Leadership, and providing assistance to the Corporate Services team to ensure inwards and outwards mail is correctly received and filed. This is a fixed-term role, to June 2025.
About you
You will be able to work efficiently and independently across different groups, able to balance competing priorities and deadline and appreciate that attention to detail contributes to the overall success of the role. You will be proactive to ensure all administration tasks for the organisation are completed on time and be able to build successful relationships with internal and external customers. You will have:
- relevant work experience or training in administration
- a high level of attention to detail
- strong organisation skills
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- high level of computer literacy using Microsoft Office
- an understanding of the Local Government Sector
- a current driver’s licence.
